Poucher at a press briefing appreciated the co-hosts ICT Division, Bangladesh Computer Council and the University of Asia Pacific for befitting arrangement of the ICPC World Finals Dhaka. At the press briefing held at Guinaksha, Hall-1 of the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), he also presented major highlights of the ongoing ICPC World Finals Dhaka

Donahoo, Additional Secretary of ICT Division Mr. Mohammad Navid Shafiullah and Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council Mr. Ranajt Kumar were present at the press meet.

A total of 137 teams from universities around the world are competing for the championship today at the ICCB Hall 4. More than 1000 people are in Dhaka to celebrate the competition, coming from 70 countries.
The 45th edition of the ICPC World Finals, known as the programming world cup, got underway with the Opening Ceremony at a Hall 1 on 8 November 2022.
The 45th edition of the ICPC World Finals is led by the ICT Division of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh where the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) of the ICT Division is acting as the executing agency and the University of Asia Pacific (UAP), Bangladesh is the host university of this contest.
The ICPC World Finals typically becomes a grand get-together of alumni, the Regional Contest Director (RCD)s, judges, coaches, and sponsors/partners. Activities and events of these groups across the venues and hotels also are parts of the World Finals.
The Alumni Talk was held at ICCB Hall-1 on 7 November 2022. TechTrek Presentation by JetBrains, RCD Symposium, and Team Registration was the day’s other activities on 7 November 2022. Apart from the Opening Ceremony, Huawei Presentation and ICPC Challenge for Teams were held at Hall-4 and ICPC Challenge for Coaches at Hall-3 on 8 November 2022. The RCDs joined the Opening Ceremony following an excursion visit to the Bangabandhu Military
The Dress Rehearsal of the contest was the only event on 9 November 2022. The World Finals and the Closing Ceremony feature the schedule of 10 November 2022. A Chill Zone with gaming facilities for the contestants, Mujib Corner, a pavilion of the ICT Division and a sponsors showcase area have been set up at the ICCB Hall-2.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has won the finals of the 45th International Collegiate Programming Contest held in Dhaka, with a total score of 11.
Among 137 teams of university students from 69 countries, BUET (Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology) ranked 51st overall in the world.
