In a meeting with BGMEA President Faruque Hassan on 13 September, Nadia Samdani MBE, Co-Founder and President of the Samdani Art Foundation, and Rajeeb Samdani, Co-Founder and Trustee, discussed ways in which Bangladeshi culture can be promoted globally through art and fashion.
Chair of BGMEA Standing Committee on Foreign Mission Cell Shams Mahmud was also present on occasion.
At the meeting, they discussed how BGMEA and Samdani Art Foundation could collaborate in supporting, promoting, and highlighting the rich culture and heritage of Bangladesh through art and fashion in the upcoming Dhaka Art Summit, which will be will be held on 3- 11 February 2023.
According to Faruque Hassan, Bangladesh has rich culture and heritage which should be promoted globally to boost the brand image of the country internationally.
BGMEA President said, “We have been working to promote local culture and heritage among the global audience by linking the culture and heritage of Bangladesh with fashion.”
Nadia Samdani and Rajeeb Samdani were invited to the “Made in Bangladesh Week” to showcase the industry’s prospects and strengths.
